To scrub or not to scrub that is the question!

So you have very dry skin at the moment, not only due to the amount of sanitizer that you are using on your hands, but the cold winter is starting to set in and your skin is awful!

I always recommend scrubbing away the dead skin cells before using any moisturiser. Why is this, because if you are using a body butter, you are effectively applying it to dead skin cells which means it making it harder to penetrate that top layer of surface skin.

First thing is first, jump in your shower/bath, lightly scrub the skin to remove the dead skin cells. Once you have completed this, jump out of the shower/bath and apply your body butter to the skin straight away. Your pores are open from the heat and you have removed your dead skin cells which gives you more of a chance of combating that dry skin.

You will only need to use the sugar or coffee scrub 1-2 times a week. Remember, to only use this product lightly, it is not meant to rip the soul from your skin.

Applying body butter should be a daily thing! Especially during winter as the skin dries out so easily. If you can, apply as soon as you get out of the shower. Avoiding mouth and eye area and lady/man parts of course.
